Arrgo 1648DM is an internal type, 5.25-inch, half-height, IDE/ATAPI interface DVD-ROM drive. The drive adopts the technology of full Constant Angular Velocity (CAV) with maximum data transfer rate 21.6 MB/sec (16X) for DVD-ROM and 7.2 MB/sec (48X) for CD-ROM. The 1648DM utilizes the rack-pinion type traverse mechanism and stepping motor in order to improve access time to around 100ms for DVD-ROM and 90ms for CD-ROM, also using ABS spindle system to reduce acoustic noise.
