How many peripherals do you have plugged in to the mains apart from your PC? Monitor, speakers, printer, scanner, desk light, backup drive, PDA cradle, USB hub, water cooler? "Zero-crossing detection” is used as a method of determining when the power supply to the peripherals is at an optimum level, creating the least amount of stress to components. Switching at this point, the OneClick automatically ensures that less electrical noise is emitted in the form of interference to other electrical products such as the radio and TV.

One other excellent use for these products is as an automatic way of switching Zalman’s famous Reserator 1 on and off. When using the OneClick with a Reserator, you no longer need to remember to turn the Reserator on and off when you use your PC.
