| Product Details The name Triton has many meanings, its the name of the largest moon that orbits Neptune. Its also a mythological creature that has a head and torso of a man and a tail of a fish, also known as a merman. The Triton 75 is not something that is almost three billion miles away, nor is it something that smells a bit fishy, according to ASUS it is a damn fine CPU Cooler! The ASUS Triton 75 takes a totally different approached to cooling than most of their other offerings. Firstly the Triton 75 is not supplied with a fan. This gives the user greater flexibility and choice. Any 120mm fan is compatible so if you a noise conscious then opting for a low RPM fan will be sufficient. Alternatively if you want the best cooling possible you can choose a high RPM fan. if you require a fan take will increase and decrease its speed automatically then the Scythe 120mm PWM fan would be ideal. The second main difference is that the Triton 75 is a "top down cooler". This basically means that the fan blows air directly down towards the CPU. This not only cools the heatsink and CPU but surrounding components on the motherboard, including the Northbridge benefit from the airflow. Compatible with Intels LGA775 and AMDs AM2/939 socket, the Triton 75 is a versatile cooler for any desktop computer. The latest CPUs from Intel and AMD pose no problem to the Triton 75s cooling potential. -------------- Features Fanless design, compatible with any 120mm fan Universal Application Easy Installation Fast Heat Transfer Light weight -------------------- Specification Compatibility Intel LGA775 and AMD AM2/754/939/940 Heatsink Dimensions (L x W x H) 137 x 120 x 90 mm Net Weight (g) 350 g Heatsink Material Copper Base, Aluminium Fins and Heatpipes Fan Dimensions (mm) Any 120mm fan |
